Play. Pause.

Still alive! I've logged a monumentally large amount of hours at work lately, and life outside that bubble is hectic. For those that have blogs, I'll be visiting soon :), and I've got two posts cooking but they won't be up for a couple of days yet. In the meantime, here's some phrases that have been flying around in my head recently. I'd like to know which one you like more and why! Choose one and comment on what it brought to mind. Think of this as a small psychology project. (The prize for most engaging answer is a mute dwarf.)
Here we go:

a) Even the most patient man can crack under the dead weight of idiocy.
b) There's no time like the present, and the only present you'll never get, is time.
c) To be different, one must identify the current norm and do all they can to avoid it.

Cheers all!

I'm going to choose B because I'm feeling like I need more time, all the time, even when I'm wasting time. (I'd have put more effort into my answer but I've already got 3 mute dwarfs. They're so expensive to look after!)
PS. Good luck with the post cooking - I find they go great with a bit of BBQ sauce.

I'd have to say that I like C--it IS true that if we don't actually make the effort to be different, we succumb to the direction of the wind, the flow of the stream, the spin of the earth...

There are times when I'm a tumbleweed, and other times when I'm a spawning salmon. ;)

Perhaps if you wanted more people to respond you needed a slightly less common incentive. :P
I’d say that I LEAST like the last one, but that’s not very helpful to you.
The second one I also dislike.
So, by process of elimination I most like (or least dislike) the first one. I think because I can relate to it. Incompetence is a killer sometimes. Brought to mind bad drivers and my very un-technology savvy Dad. Also those characters in horror movies who are compelled to see why there was the sound of a chainsaw and a bloodcurdling scream in the old haunted house that no one has been into for years because it was where the mysterious death of the character’s relative occurred back when they were only a kid (huh... incompetence really does kill those people).

Hope that helps.

Dale.

Hahaha.
Nice nice. Ok I like all those comments!

Luke: I've only had them with Ponzu. Thanks for the tip and duly noted. ;P

Patrick: Deep! I am certainly a tumbleweed sometimes, and... well only a salmon occasionally. I liken myself more to a crab, I do my own thing, sometimes feel like I'm living under a rock, and when I'm disturbed I try to nip people...

Dale: Ah! If this were an experiment on conformity, you certainly would have shown me! Alas, it isn't - no mute dwarf for you. :P

Pressing on!
